2022 Chevrolet Trax Overview
The 2022 Chevrolet Trax is a subcompact crossover popular at dealerships like the Cottonwood Chevrolet dealer, thanks to its outstanding driving dynamics, long list of standard features, and a price tag that’s easy on the wallet. Chevy’s smallest SUV features plenty of room in the cabin for passengers and their stuff. The Trax’s small size makes it perfect for urban drivers who need to maneuver in and out of tight spaces. Buyers looking for a great little subcompact should place the 2022 Trax at the top of their shopping list.
According to the Cottonwood Chevy dealer, the 2022 Chevrolet Trax seats five and comes in two trims: LS and LT. The Trax is powered by a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 155 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, up from last year, when the engine produced 138 hp. A six-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional. EPA-estimated fuel economy for the 2022 Trax is rated at up to 24 mpg in the city and 32 mpg on the highway.*
Buyers can choose from three optional appearance packages: Midnight Edition, Redline Edition and Sport Edition. These packages all come with 18-inch black gloss aluminum wheels with all-season blackwall tires, black front and rear skid plates, black beltline moldings, and black bowtie badging. The Midnight Edition and Redline Edition both come with black door handles. The Redline Edition adds red detailing and red wheel accents, while the Sport Edition gets body-color door handles.
The Chevy Trax LS may be the base model, but it comes with a wealth of standard features, including 16-inch alloy wheels, manually adjustable front seats, 60/40 split folding rear seats, cloth seats, a single-zone climate control system, power windows and a compass. Also standard is a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth and two USB ports. The LS comes with a three-month complimentary subscription to a Wi-Fi hot spot that can be used with up to seven devices.
Buyers who choose the Chevy Trax LT will get remote start, LED daytime running lights, cruise control, upgraded cloth seats with simulated leather trim, tinted rear windows, heated power-folding side mirrors, a 120-volt outlet, a luggage rack and a cargo cover.
Available features include 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. An optional Driver Confidence Package adds blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert and rear parking sensors.
