2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 For Sale Near Prescott
The Chevrolet Silverado is a full-size pickup truck that’s long been a leader of this competitive segment. For 2020, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 gets an update that sees it remaining at the top of its class. The folks at the Prescott Chevrolet dealer tell us that buyers are responding favorably to the changes for 2020, including available adaptive cruise control and an Advanced Trailering System that can display as many as 15 different camera views.
A new 3.0-liter Duramax diesel engine that was initially scheduled for release on last year’s Silverado 1500 makes its debut on the 2020 Silverado 1500. This diesel unit is a straight-six, rather than the V6 diesel under the hood of competing full-size pickups. While a straight-six takes up more real estate under the hood than a V6, it’s more balanced, runs smoother and develops more torque. This block is destined to become a big seller at Prescott Chevrolet dealerships and Chevy dealers throughout the country.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 receives positive reviews, with the experts at Kelley Blue Book writing: “The Silverado deploys technology and smart engineering to make it lighter, more fuel-efficient and roomier than its predecessor. It’s a strong and reliable performer with a broad range of abilities, while spanning from utilitarian Work Truck to high-class High Country trim levels. Any buyer seeking a new full-size truck should absolutely investigate the 2020 Silverado.”
The large number of trim levels on offer means buyers can get the Silverado 1500 configured for just about every need. The eight models are called Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country. There are six engines, three cab configurations and two cargo box sizes.
Here’s the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 engine roster:
- 4.3-liter V6 with Active Fuel Management (ATM) makes 285 horsepower and 305 pound-feet of torque, paired to a six-speed automatic transmission
- 5.3-liter V8 with ATM that produces 355 hp and 385 lb-ft of torque, matched with a six-speed automatic gearbox
- 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with ATM that generates 310 hp and 348 lb-ft of torque, teamed to an eight-speed automatic
- 5.3-liter V8 with Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) that puts out 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, joined to an eight-speed automatic gearbox
- 6.2-liter V8 with DFM that that’s good for 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission
- 3.0-liter turbodiesel inline-six that develops for 277 hp and 460 lb-ft, connected to a 10-speed automatic
For 2020, the Chevrolet Silverado 1500 now features class-leading towing capacity. The 6.2-liter V8 and the Max Trailering package allow the Silverado to pull up to 13,400 pounds. Several features make towing more manageable, including the trailer camera mentioned above and a setup that enables the driver to view the road virtually, as if there were no trailer being towed. The myChevrolet mobile phone app gives you access to a host of other trailering features. Additionally, the trailer is kept secure with an alarm that sounds if anyone attempts to disconnect it while the truck is locked.
