The 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe continues to be a top choice for those seeking a truck-based SUV, offering versatility for a variety of needs. Depending on the configuration, it comfortably seats up to nine passengers, ensuring ample space and a quiet environment, even during highway travel. 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe
    The 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe is a full-size SUV available in six trims: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. According to the Prescott Chevrolet dealership, three engines are on offer:

    • Base 5.3-liter V8 that makes 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft
    • A 6.2-liter V8 generating 420 hp and 460 lb-ft, standard on the High Country and available on the RST, Z71 and Premier
    • Turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel engine developing 277 hp and 460 lb-ft, available on all trims except the Z71

    All engines are coupled to a 10-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on all engines except the Z71, which gets standard all-wheel drive. The others get all-wheel drive as an option. EPA-estimated fuel economy is rated at up to 21 mpg city and 28 mpg highway for the diesel engine.*

    The Chevy Tahoe can tow up to 8,400 pounds with the 5.3-liter V8 and rear-wheel drive. Opting for the 6.2-liter V8 slightly reduces the towing capacity to 8,300 pounds, and the Duramax turbodiesel can tow 8,200 pounds. Adding four-wheel drive to any of these engines decreases the towing capacity by 200 pounds.

    The Tahoe offers a vast interior with three rows of seats and a flexible second row that slides to accommodate adult passengers comfortably in the rear. Its design, featuring an independent rear suspension, provides a low, flat load floor, expanding the cargo space to 123 cubic feet when the rear rows are folded down. Additionally, Chevy has modernized the driving experience by replacing the traditional column shifter with a more contemporary push-button-and-slider mechanism.

    Advanced entertainment features ensure passengers stay content on long drives. Standard tech features include a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Tahoe also includes multiple charging ports and offers a Bose audio system and a rear-seat entertainment system with two 12.6-inch screens behind the front seats, enhancing the travel experience for all occupants.

    The 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe was awarded a five-star safety rating by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration. It’s equipped with comprehensive driver-assistance technologies, including pedestrian detection, forward automatic emergency braking, and Buckle to Drive, which ensures seat belts are fastened before driving.
