The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has long been one of America’s most popular full-size trucks. It’s easy to see why this pickup has been pleasing buyers at dealerships like the Chinle Chevrolet dealer for so long. The Silverado 1500 is offered in configurations to meet every need, with nine trim levels, four powertrains, and several cab styles and bed sizes. The Silverado has an impressive towing capacity of 13,300 pounds.

For 2023, the Duramax diesel engine gets a boost of 28 horsepower and 35 lb-ft of torque. It now puts out 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft. According to the Chevy dealer serving Chinle, the extra power results from retuning the engine, an updated combustion bowl, new pistons, and new fuel injectors.

As you might expect, the 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 gets excellent reviews from the automotive press. The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is available in nine trim levels: Work Truck (WT), Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, ZR2 and High Country.

Four engines are on offer:

• A 2.7-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine develops 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque. This powerplant is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It comes standard in the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT and LT Trail Boss.
• A 5.3-liter V8 produces 355 hp and 383 lb-ft. It’s teamed to a 10-speed automatic transmission. This engine is standard in the RST, LTZ and High Country. It’s available in the WT, Custom Trail Boss, LT, and LT Trail Boss.
• A 6.2-liter V8 generates 420 hp and 460 lb-ft. It features Dynamic Fuel Management technology and is mated to the 10-speed automatic. This V8 is standard in the ZR2 and available in the RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country.
• A 3.0-liter turbodiesel four-cylinder engine puts out 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft. It’s connected to the 10-speed automatic gearbox. This powerplant is available in the Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ and High Country.

The base WT model is relatively bare bones. It includes manual locks, manual windows, manually adjustable front seats, and vinyl upholstery. Move up to the LT and higher trims, and you’ll get more sizzle, including a more attractive dash with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a larger 13.4-inch center touchscreen. The range-topping High County ramps up the luxury with open-pore wood trim and leather seating. All trims come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, except the WT.

The Chevy Silverado ZR2 trim is the right choice for buyers looking for the ultimate off-road experience. It comes with 33-inch tires, animated LED headlights, a black grille with accent lighting, steel front and rear bumpers, a high-approach front bumper with an improved 31-degree approach angle, an enhanced two-speed transfer case with Terrain Mode, Multimatic DSSV spool-valve dampers, unique skid plates, a hidden dual-outlet exhaust, and exclusive interior styling.
