100,000-Mile Service
These are some of the maintenance highlights for the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
7,500-Mile Service
The first scheduled maintenance visit for your 2021 Chevy Trailblazer occurs when it reaches the 7,500-mile mark. When you bring your vehicle to the Chevy dealer serving Cottonwood, our service technicians will change the vehicle’s oil. They’ll also change the oil filter, as needed. This critical maintenance service will protect your Trailblazer’s engine from wear. The engine’s oil lasts for a long time, but it breaks down and picks up dirt over time. The old oil must be replaced with fresh oil periodically.
The service technicians will also inspect the brakes during this service visit. They’ll check the tires for signs of wear and examine the tread depth. They’ll also look for any signs that the vehicle may need a wheel alignment, rotate the Trailblazer’s tires, check the fluid levels and inspect the wipers.
45,000-Mile Service
All service visits include the services listed above. When your Chevy Trailblazer gets to 45,000 miles, it will be time to replace the engine air cleaner filter. A clogged filter will lead to a loss of performance. When the air intake becomes blocked, you’ll notice a drop in acceleration and lower fuel economy. During this visit, the technicians will also replace the transmission fluid.
100,000-Mile Service
When the odometer reaches the 100,000-mile mark, it will be time to replace the spark plugs. Old, worn spark plugs will cause lowered performance. You may notice a loss of fuel economy, and the vehicle may be difficult to start.
150,000-Mile Service
When your Trailblazer achieves 150,000 miles, the service technicians will replace the coolant in the engine. This fluid moderates the engine’s temperature, keeping it cool during the hot summer months and preventing it from freezing in the winter. Old coolant can’t protect the engine from oxidation efficiently, which can lead to corrosion. Another important maintenance service during this visit is an inspection of the drive belts and coolant hoses. The service technicians will look for cracks and signs of deterioration and replace the components if necessary.
