2021 Chevrolet Blazer Maintenance Schedule
The Chevrolet Blazer’s beginnings date back to 1969 when the model was a full-size truck. In 1983, the chassis was reduced in size, and the Blazer was discontinued after the 2005 model year. The Blazer re-emerged in 2019 as a midsize SUV with styling cues from the Chevy Camaro. The Blazer comes in six different trim levels at dealerships like the Winslow Chevrolet dealer. There are three engines to choose from: a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and a 3.6-liter V6 engine.
Your Blazer was a big investment, so you’ll want to keep it running properly by taking it to the Flagstaff Chevrolet Service Center for scheduled maintenance. According to the Winslow Chevrolet dealership, keeping your car maintained properly will help keep it running safely and reliably. You can locate the maintenance schedule in the owner’s manual.
Here are some of the milestones of your Blazer’s maintenance schedule.
7,500-Mile Service
Chevrolet recommends taking the 2021 Chevy Blazer for routine maintenance every 7,500 miles. This service visit includes an oil and oil filter change. Motor oil is produced to last a long time, but it breaks down after a while and attracts dirt and grime. An oil change will flush out the old engine oil and replace it with fresh oil. Other services performed at 7500 miles include a tire rotation, a tire inspection, and a check of the coolant level and windshield wiper fluid.
45,000-Mile Service
When your car has reached 45,000 miles, our service technicians will repeat the services included in the 7,500-mile service visit. In addition, they’ll replace the wiper blades and the cabin air filter. The latter is particularly important, as the cabin air filter cleans the air inside the vehicle by filtering out pollen, dust and other contaminants. The cabin air filter gets changed every 22,500 miles, but it may need to be replaced more frequently if you drive in heavy traffic or areas with poor air quality, high dust levels, or environmental allergens. The air filter may also need to be replaced if you notice reduced airflow, odors or window fogging.
97,5000-Mile Service
This service visit starts with the basic services of the 7,500-mile visit. In addition, the service technicians will replace the spark plugs (except in the 2.0L engine). They’ll also inspect spark plug wires and/or boots.
150,000-Mile Service
In addition to the basic services, at the 150,000-mile mark, the service technicians will change the rear axle fluid in all-wheel-drive models, drain and fill the engine’s cooling system, visually inspect the accessory drive belts, replace the hood and/or body lift support gas struts, and replace the windshield wipers.
